If you can’t think of a thoughtful gift, try making your own gift basket. One of my dear friends had a family member pass away. In those sad times, you barely eat. I went to the local grocery store and loaded up a basket with fresh grapes, oranges, apples, bananas, granola bars, bottled water, a bottle of wine, and a small indoor plant. I hand delivered the basket with a card. I felt this was better than sending flowers from a flower shop. It was more personal. You can buy baskets anywhere. Cost Plus World Market has great baskets!
