Baby Food ~ Puréed Pears

Baby Food ~ Pears
Print Recipe
There are many pear options to chose from while walking through the produce section at your local grocery store. We used D'Anjou pears for this recipe. I started with 4 of them just in case they didn't set well with our 7 month old and her little tummy. Luckily she loved them and they didn't upset her stomach. Baby favorite!

Instructions
  1. Clean your pears, peal the skin off with a peeler, remove core and stem. Dice the pears into little cubes.
  2. Fill a pot with boiling water and cook the diced pears until they are soft enough to stick a fork through them easily.
  3. Drain the water and add the soft pears into your blender or NutriBullet.
  4. Blend pears until completely smooth. Add water as needed to make it creamy.
  5. Pour the pureed pears into a container to store in the fridge or little containers to store in the freezer.
  6. You can add a pinch of cinnamon if you desire.
  7. If you like to create fun mash-ups, mix your pears with other veggies or fruits. You can also add it into their oatmeal or rice cereal. We use Gerber Oatmeal Cereal.
  8. This is one fruit that our baby girl really enjoys! One of her favorite blends is when we mix the pureed pears with blueberries, oatmeal cereal and kale.
