I was going through old cookbooks that have been passed on along the years. I found one that my Mother in Law gave me that is titled "Light Cuisine" Cook Light ~ Eat Right, presented by Professional Home Economists in 1979. The recipe that most intrigued me was the pumpkin soup. I had never made it before and I had everything in my pantry at home. The woman who shared the recipe is Barbara Gershman...Read More
I started making these for Madie when she was 10 months old. Cut them into pieces or if your baby has teeth, they will be able to enjoy the whole thing on their own. When your bananas are turning black on the peel, they are perfect for these homemade biscuits...Read More
As many of you know I had a sweet baby girl July 30th. She was 5 weeks early weighing 4 pounds 13 ounces. Not being able to hold her in my arms after delivery, I was heartbroken. She was taken immediately to another hospital and I wouldn't see her until I was released 36 hours later...Read More

Not sure what from, but assume after all these years of random training: karate, cheerleading, softball, triathlons, Half Ironman, riding my bike in AIDS Lifecycle from San Francisco to L.A. in one week (545 miles), Crossfit, Bikram, crashing a few times on my dirt bike, and so on.....Read More
I wanted to make something special for my dear friend Kim's birthday. I private messaged her mom on Facebook and asked what would be a good dessert to take to Kim's house. Apple Crisp it is! Crispy oat crumble and cinnamon spiced granny smith apples baked to perfection. Serve hot out of the oven over vanilla bean ice cream. This recipe will make two 9" apple crisp pies.Read More
You’ve got to love Pinterest. I don’t get on it often but when I’m winding down right before bed, I just poke around for a few minutes. Thankfully the week of Thanksgiving I stumbled upon this recipe for Boston Market’s copycat sweet potato casserole. In our Italian family we are not ones to have much beyond the meat, potatoes, rolls, and dessert...Read More
