If you like caramel and you like chocolate, you will love this recipe. It reminds me of the hard chocolate covered toffee squares from See’s Candies. My mother in law found this and thought we should take a stab at it. Glad I did. Super yummy and quite easy. Perfect for parties!
Ingredients:
1.5 cups graham cracker crumbs
1/3 cup dark brown sugar
¼ teaspoon salt
1/3 cup toasted macadamia nuts, coarse...

GRILL ON THE BBQ
For my birthday we headed to the local pub in Big Bear Lake called Murray’s Saloon & Eatery. Two guys were at the table next to use so we started chatting. They swore by the food menu. James ordered Ahi Tuna which was amazing and I ordered bacon wrapped shrimp. I put a reminder in my phone to recreate those bacon wrapped shrimp as soon as I got home. I bought the largest sh...
Read More We were in Big Bear for the weekend and my husband ordered red snapper with garlic butter at the restaurant Saturday night. The server apologized, said they were out of snapper but they had halibut. He got it anyway. I felt bad that he didn’t get his snapper so I grilled up this delicious, succulent garlic white wine/butter sauce and made shrimp, halibut, and red snapper...
Read More My husband loves peppercorn sauce! His favorite is the New York strip from Sycamore Inn, Rancho Cucamonga that comes with a homemade peppercorn sauce. I’m on a mission to find the perfect one to make at home. He loved this recipe! More photos towards the bottom of the recipe. Enjoy!

Angel Buns and Angel Biscuits
Here are a couple options from my Grandma’s baking boxes, you can make one or both. The Angel biscuits had Aunt Oleva’s name on it. We used to visit her all the time in Bullhead City as kids. Very yummy biscuits and the best part is you can keep the dough in the fridge for a week and just pull out what you want to bake each day at a time...

I used to work at Outback Steakhouse and guests would always order the Alice Springs Chicken. “Grilled chicken breast and bacon smothered in mushrooms, melted Monterey Jack and Cheddar cheeses, with honey mustard sauce.” This never appealed to me but marrying a man who loves chicken and bacon, I knew he would enjoy this dish.

My husband never cooks. When I say never, I really mean “Never!” He has cooked one time since I’ve known him and burned the frozen hamburger patties on the BBQ. I think it may have been intentional. I do love cooking so I don’t mind that he doesn’t cook. He actually came up with this idea of grilling our own pizzas...
My brother Terry and I love Warehouse Pizza in La Verne, California. They are known for their delicious pizza of course and you can’t get enough of their ranch dressing. Dip your pizza in it or enjoy the Antipasta salad with half ranch and half Italian dressing. Terry sent me this recipe and told me I had to make it because it tastes identical to the Warehouse Pizza ranch.

Read More I wanted something super easy that I could just throw in the crock pot and walk away. On this day I left the house at 8am and didn’t get home until 10pm so I wanted my Husband to be able to reach into the crock pot and eat whenever he was ready. When I got home that night, he raved about this beef and that he couldn’t stop eating it. It tasted the best the 1st day but still good as leftovers.
Makes 7-8 ...
