Organic Baby Food ~ That’s Bananas
Yes, you can find many squeezable, jarred, pre-made baby foods on the market. Your local grocery store, Target, Amazon, etc. You can also find organic or regular vegetables and make your own baby food from scratch. It is really quite simple and it doesn’t take any longer than going to the store to purchase the ready-made baby food. When your baby is ready for solids, roughly around 6 months old…you can begin pureed fruits and vegetables. We were told to do 5 days of the same solid food to see how their tummies react. In no particular order, we began our little one on bananas, sweet potatoes, carrots, and applesauce throughout the first 20 days. It took our baby a few tries until she realized how to properly eat off of a spoon and swallow. Now she dives into the spoon and can’t eat it fast enough. So far the fruits are her favorite.

Instructions
  1. Take a ripe banana* and use a fork to smash it up until it is very soft and creamy. You can also add in your breast milk or formula to make it creamier. If you have a food processor or blender, you can toss it in there to blend until smooth.
  2. Add 2 tablespoons of food or more into a little bowl and feed it to your little one with a baby spoon. If the banana looks too brown, you should toss it.
  3. Enjoy their facial expressions. They are just adorable!
Recipe Notes

*One bunch of roughly 8 organic bananas from Costco is less than $2. You can use one ripe banana for at least 5 feedings. Costing you less than .10 cents per feeding. At first your babies will only eat a tablespoon to 2 tablespoons at a time. And only 1-2 times per day.
