Homemade Baby Banana Teething Biscuits
I started making these for Madie when she was 10 months old. Cut them into pieces or if your baby has teeth, they will be able to enjoy the whole thing on their own. When your bananas are turning black on the peel, they are perfect for these homemade biscuits. One ripe banana mixed with the rest of these ingredients will get you 6 baked biscuits / cookies and you can freeze the rest of the dough until ready to defrost and bake. Madie is now a year old and still loves these.

Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 and get all of your ingredients out on the counter.
  2. Mix all your dry ingredients in one bowl (flour, rice cereal, and cinnamon and then mix your other ingredients together in a 2nd bowl (mashed banana, oil, and water). You can use a hand-mixer or just mix with your hands.
  3. Combine the two bowls and mix until the dough forms a firm non-sticky dough ball. Add additional water or flour depending on the consistency.
  4. Place one tablespoon of dough in the palm of your hand and make a ball. Then use your opposite thumb and smash it down into a flat round circle. I make 6 at a time and freeze the remaining dough.
  5. If you prefer using a rolling pin and cookie cutters, you can make fun shapes. We used stars!
  6. Place the dough onto a greased baking sheet (use cooking spray or vegetable shortening) and bake for 12-15 minutes. Don’t let them cook too long or they will be too hard. They should be a light brown color.
  7. Let them cool completely before placing them in a Ziploc bag or airtight Tupperware container.
  8. Separate the remaining dough into snack Ziploc bags and then place the snack bags into a larger freezer bag. Freeze these and pull out individual snack bags to defrost prior to baking them. I defrost one bag in the fridge overnight and bake the next day.
  9. Watch your babies little faces light up when they sink their teeth into these delicious treats. They are soft and spongy which feels good on their teeth and gums. Great for teething!
